SUMMARY


This Senior Accounting Clerk position is responsible for communicating past due Accounts Receivable information to internal and external customers, including assisting in payment resolution through direct communication with domestic and international franchisees. Papa John's International Inc. is a publicly traded restaurant company with over 5,500 global units and a $2.9 billion market cap.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:



  • Collaboratively and professionally contact domestic and international franchisees for required payments, including documenting conversations within the information system.

  • Communicate Accounts Receivable collection concerns to internal management to ensure prompt and appropriate action is taken to limit Papa John's potential financial exposure.

  • Ensure franchisees' accounts are reconciled timely, including applying payments and/or international tax withholding receipts.

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly Accounts Receivable reports.

  • Other duties may be assigned.

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS



  • Strong computer systems experience, including excellent PC skills (PeopleSoft Financials, Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams)

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATIONS



  • Two (2) to four (4) years of Accounts Receivable, including Collections, experience preferred

  • Associate's degree in accounting or related field

  • Experience in the restaurant / multi-unit retail franchise industry preferred


PHYSICAL DEMANDS


While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The team member frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The team member is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, repetitive use (or motion) of arms and hands, bend and stoop, and lift up to 10 pounds.
