JOB SUMMARY Strategically direct, oversee, manage, protect and control the company's annual revenue in open accounts receivable assets through the application and use of credit risk/collection best practices and industry leading technology. Allocate resources and provide strategic direction and support to the credit and collection personnel to achieve optimal performance as accomplished through increased cash flow and reduction in open accounts receivable. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Strategically direct the credit and collection process. Ensure effective cash flow with minimal levels of open and delinquent accounts receivable. Plan and set team performance goals with senior leadership and provide communication on goals, plans and results. Plan and build an environment for supporting a collections call center. This role would be responsible for hiring, training, scheduling, and monitoring productivity. Evaluate processes for improvement opportunities and implement approved recommendations. Assist in the improvement and design of reporting and performance measurements. Provide leadership and direction to the management responsible for the credit and collection functions. Ensure appropriate training, staffing and resources are provided for goal attainment. Establish and maintain effective communications and teamwork. Participate in employee development, providing performance reviews of job performance and competencies, and research and communicate improvement opportunities. Direct the coordination efforts with operating company leaders, various sales organizations, terminal personnel and the multiple general office departments for maximizing the efficiency and effectiveness of the function. Communicate and educate organization leaders on identification of potential high risk accounts and efforts. Prior management experience. Proven leadership skills for directing, leading and achieving results. Ten (10) years' experience in cash management, credit and collection operations and credit and collection systems as well as strong financial background in these areas. Proven analytical skills and track record for driving improved performance. Knowledge in the use of various PC software applications. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Master's Degree. Project management and/or business process design experience. WORKING CONDITIONS This job operates in a professional office environment indoors. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The position requires the ability to spend long hours sitting or standing while using office equipment and computers. Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as typing and keying. Occasional lifting, pushing/pulling, carrying 10 lbs of supplies and materials is required.
