Full-time, local, CDL-A or CDL-B truck driver

We are seeking a full-time, local, CDL-A or CDL-B truck driver to join our team!

Job Duties / Responsibilities:

• Arrive to work, on time, every day, ready to work
• Safely operate heavy or tractor-trailer truck and refrigerated trailer, complying with all law and regulations
• Load cargo and verify orders are correct
• Deliver and unload cargo to customer locations in a safe, timely, and dependable manner
• Take proper steps to prevent loss of life, injury or property damage to oneself, other employees, or members of the general public
• Properly track and document activity log
• Report any issues or incidents to dispatch
• Inspect truck before and after trip
• Conduct yourself in a professional and courteous manner in dealings with all team members, customers, and members of the general public

Requirements / Qualifications:

• 21 years of age or older
• Minimum of 1 year of previous CDL-A or CDL-B articulated vehicle experience
• Commercial driver's license (CDL-A or CDL-B)
• Must be able to lift and maneuver up to 100-lb. boxes
• No major moving violations in the last three years
• No convictions / citations for driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance in the past 5 years
• Ability to handle physical workload and lift boxes, consecutively, that are up to 80 lbs.
• DOT physical examination and recertification every two years
• Ability to determine if vehicle is safely loaded
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Must be dependable, respectful, energetic, and punctual

Kap s Wholesale Food Services, Inc. is looking for full-time, dependable, professional CDL-A or CDL-B drivers who meet our standard of providing exceptional service. Most delivery runs return the same day, however, in the rare circumstance an overnight stay is required, the company will pay for overnight accommodations.

We take pride in our fleet of semi-trucks and refrigerated trailers.

We offer competitive wages with overtime pay; base wage is in the $18 - $22 range. Schedule and hours vary depending on daily routes. Our employees earn paid vacations and holidays. We offer a comprehensive health insurance package, including a 401(k) plan with employer match up to 4%.
