Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings - carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Purpose of Position

The Supply Chain Rotational Program is aimed at cultivating new graduates to quickly gain key business experiences through four rotations within the Corning Optical Communications (OC) supply chain. Rotations can include Planning, Logistics/Warehousing, Sourcing, and Data Enablement. Rotations will provide participants with the opportunity to learn and experience a functional aspect of OC's supply chain. The participant will focus on learning day to day tactical activities with opportunities to participate in supply chain projects and initiatives. Each participant will be supervised by a program supervisor as well as guided by a supervisor in each functional area during the rotations. At the conclusion of the program (2 years), leadership and the rotational individual will discuss and determine best next steps for Corning and the individual based on performance and skills acquired through the program.
